You do not require a Doctor’s referral to see a physiotherapist unless you will be claiming through Veterans Affairs, Workcover, Medicare EPC program or CTP.
This depends on your level of cover with your chosen private health fund. You will need to talk to your health fund to answer this question.
TUH Patients will have full consult coverage for up to 6 appointments. This is to be approved by TUH prior to commencement
Our Telehealth appointments will be 45mins in duration.
All Telehealth appointments are a flat fee of $175.00.
We suggest discussing with your health fund prior to appointment to best understand your individual rebate.
Physiotherapists are university trained and are experts in injury diagnosis, injury treatment, exercise prescription, injury prevention, rehabilitation and many other areas of sport and health and fitness.
TUH Patients: This will be invoiced through a pre-arranged Purchase Order issued by your health fund.
Private Healthfund: We will issue you an invoice via email, once paid you can expect a receipt with details to claim through your preferred health fund.
Workcover and CTP claims can be billed directly to the insurer where there is a current claim number.
We recommend no tight clothes/jeans as these restrict our ability to assess you fully.
Please wear clothes you are comfortable in and can easily move in.
Be prepared to provide any information pertaining to your previous medical or surgical history. Please have details of any x-rays/scans/MRI reports, referrals relating to your condition, and a list of current medications.
